Meet Alex - a talented woodworker, furniture designer, artist, and spiritual mystic. His approach to design, his work, and his life would best be described as monastic - with an attentional to detail, reverence for the material, and appreciation for the process that only comes with years of attention and practice - both in a physical and a spiritual sense.

Alex started at RHCD full time in 2023, but prior to that was a friend and colleague, having arrived in Austin in 2018 to make his way as a furniture maker. His education and credentials include the intensive program at the center for furniture craftsmanship in Maine, a degree in architecture from the university of Nebraska, and a stint as a Franciscan Friar in training in NYC.

All of this combined makes Alex an invaluable part of the crew at RHCD Studio. We’re happy to have him!
